U14 épée circuit in Florina
The European U14 circuit continued in Florina, Greece, where young épée fencers gathered for an international weekend of competition. The event brought together developing athletes in both the men’s and women’s individual events, offering an important step in their competitive pathway.
In the men’s épée competition, Turkish fencers dominated the podium. Ali Kaynak claimed the victory ahead of Poyraz Nuzumlaer, while the bronze medals were shared by Adnan Zafer Binici, also representing Türkiye, and Andrei Stoica of Romania.
The women’s event saw a strong performance from the host nation. Angeliki Emmanouela Salavoura of Greece secured the gold medal, followed by Pigi Kyrimi in second place. The bronze medals went to Sofia Sukles of Estonia and Seraphine Joshua Mathew representing British fencing.

Eurofence league stage in Brno
The Eurofence league continued its season in Brno, Czechia, with foil fencers competing in both the men’s and women’s individual tournaments.
In the men’s foil event, Veljko Cuk of Serbia captured the title after a strong performance throughout the day. Croatia’s Petar Files finished second, while Mattia Rubin of Hungary and Yelizar Dyrda of Ukraine shared the bronze medals.
The women’s competition was won by Benedetta Pantanetti of Italy. Czech fencer Michala Illekova secured the silver medal on home soil, while the bronze medals went to Maria Teodorescu of Romania and Katerina Nemeskalova of Czechia.

U23 sabre circuit in Belgrade
In Belgrade, Serbia, the European U23 circuit featured individual sabre competitions for men and women, with Italian athletes delivering particularly strong performances.
The men’s sabre event ended with a full Italian podium. Marco Mastrullo took gold ahead of Lupo Veccia Scavalli, while Marco Stigliano and Edoardo Cantini shared the bronze medals.
Italy also dominated the women’s competition, where Amelia Giovannelli claimed victory. Chiara Resciniti finished second, while Alessandra Nicolai and Franziska Tanzmeister of Austria secured the bronze medals.
