The battle for European team glory continues on Saturday as the 2026 European Senior Fencing Championships enter their fifth day of competition in Antony, France.
Following an exciting opening day of team events, which saw Italy claim Men's Épée gold and AIN triumph in Women's Sabre after a dramatic final against France, attention now turns to two more highly anticipated competitions: Women's Foil and Men's Sabre.
The Women's Foil event promises another fascinating contest. Ukraine will arrive with confidence after Olga Sopit's historic individual gold medal earlier this week, while traditional powerhouses such as Italy and France will be aiming to add another European title to their collections.
In Men's Sabre, the home crowd will once again have plenty to cheer for after Jean-Philippe Patrice finally captured his first European individual title. France will be among the favourites, but the race for gold is expected to be wide open, with several nations capable of challenging for the podium.
Fans across Europe are invited to support their national teams and follow every touch throughout the day.
