Teodora Višnjić, born in Belgrade, Serbia, is a law graduate of the University of Belgrade and has been engaged in fencing from a young age, competing recreationally in épée and foil. She remains closely connected to the sport through governance, policy development, and safeguarding, with a strong focus on institutional accountability, equality, and athlete protection.

 

She has built significant expertise in sports governance and major event management, serving as Project Coordinator of the European Fencing Championships Novi Sad 2022, where she contributed to inter-institutional coordination and policy alignment. In 2023, she published the academic paper “Gender Equality and Leadership Positions in Sport” as part of a Human Rights and Labour Law research project supported by the Divac Foundation, reflecting her long-standing commitment to gender equality and good governance in sport.

 

Since 2023, Teodora has been a certified IOC Safeguarding Officer in Sport, serving national federations, the EFC, and the FIE at major championships. She is actively developing safeguarding frameworks, preparing policy recommendations, and promoting an athlete-centred approach grounded in law and human rights. In 2025, she was named an Honorary Member of Rotaract Club Skadarlija in recognition of her humanitarian and community contributions.
